"Το βάρος των Αλυσίδων" θα ασχοληθεί με δύσκολα ζητήματα που αφορούν τη διάλυση της Γιουγκοσλαβίας και τις συνέπειες μιας δεκαετίας αστάθειας και πολέμου. Θα παρουσιάσει ισχυρά επιχειρήματα που αποκαλύπτουν τους πραγματικούς λόγους πίσω από την δυτική επέμβαση στα Βαλκάνια και γιατί η ταινία ξεκίνησε με την παραγωγή στα τέλη του 2009 σε διάφορες πόλεις σε όλο τον Καναδά, συμπεριλαμβανομένων Οτάβα, Μόντρεαλ και Τορόντο, συνεχίστηκε στις αρχές του 2010 στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες -. "Το βάρος του Αλυσίδες" είναι σήμερα σε θέση για μετα-παραγωγική κατάσταση. Ο σκηνοθέτης αυτής της ταινίας, Μπόρις Mαλάγκουρσκι, έχει κάνει αρκετές ταινίες μέχρι σήμερα, η τελευταία του είναι "Το Κοσσυφοπέδιο». Μπορείτε να φανταστείτε;", ένα αμφιλεγόμενο ντοκιμαντέρ αποκαλύπτοντας πώς οι εναπομείναντες Σέρβοι στο Κοσσυφοπέδιο έχουν ελάχιστα ή καθόλου βασικά ανθρώπινα δικαιώματα, η δε ταινία κέρδισε αρκετά βραβεία σε κινηματογραφικά φεστιβάλ σε όλο τον κόσμο. Η ταινία "Το βάρος των Αλυσίδων", η οποία έχει προγραμματιστεί να κυκλοφορήσει τον Οκτώβριο του 2010, θα παρουσιάσει μια καναδική προοπτική για την Δυτικά «συμμετοχή» στον διαμελισμό των «εθνοτικών» ομάδων εντός της Γιουγκοσλαβίας και δείχνει ότι ο πόλεμος υεπιβλήθηκε-υποκινήθηκε από το εξωτερικό – ενώ οι πολίτες ήθελαν την ειρήνη… ΩΣΤΟΣΟ, ακραία κλάσματα από όλες τις «πλευρές», ενισχυόμενα από τους εξωτερικούς τους μέντορες, υπερψήφισαν τους μετριοπαθείς…Ακόμα και δέκα χρόνια μετά την τελευταία σύγκρουση - το μίσος παραμένει και οι άνθρωποι συνεχίζουν τις «διαδόσεις» μύθων για το τι πραγματικά συνέβη στη δεκαετία του 1990.
